Cemetery

The Livingston Baptist Cemetery is located in the rear of the church property.

Many of the town’s founding families are buried here.

There are 119 burials here within 73 markers.  The earliest grave marker was dated 1854 and the most recent was 1991.  There are 18 marble, 36 granite, 15 limestone headstones.

There are at least four known Civil War Veterans here.

The cemetery is 6/10 or an acre and bounded by a 4 foot cyclone fence.  It is accessible to the public by foot.

The cemetery was owned by the Livingston Baptist Church since the Church was organized and built circa 1852.  On May 17, 1929, the deed for the cemetery was transferred to the Livingston Baptist Cemetery Association which was incorporated 14 June, 1928.

Many of the town’s founders are buried here.

We are appreciative to the memory of  Eric W. Muller who provided us with this information and who drew the numbered map in 1983.
